For outerwear in wool, cotton, synthetic - check the chapters for these materials on how to treat them. For down jackets and technical garments - check our recommendation below.

Down jackets
You can treat any stains on the outer material with lemon soap before washing. It is the washing of the garment itself that requires special attention. If you only need to remove a single stain without having to wash the garment, we recommend using Lemon foam. Just remember not to let it work on the garment, but to rinse it off immediately after application.
Rub in with Lemon soap and water on all stains. For old and difficult stains, leave on for a while.
Then wash the garment in a machine on a gentle program at a maximum of 40 degrees or check the washing instructions on the garment. Use Wool wash to wash down-filled garments. Regular detergent contains enzymes that can destroy the down's natural fat layer. To avoid clumping of the down, it is important to centrifuge.
Tumble dry until the garment is completely dry – preferably with a couple of tennis balls to help fluff up the down.
How to remove stains on down jackets

Technical Outerwear

Technical outerwear includes garments in impregnated materials such as Gore-tex, rainwear or softshell.

You can remove stains with Lemon soap before washing, but if you just need to remove a stain without washing afterwards, we recommend using Lemon Foam. Just remember not to let it work on the garment, but to rinse it off immediately after application.

Put the garment in water and rub in lemon soap on all stains. Leave on for a few hours if you have tough spots.

Then wash the garment with Lemon Wash, which does not contain fabric softeners or chemicals that damage technical garments. Check the washing instructions on the garment for recommended temperature and program. It is recommended to dry-dry waterproof and water-repellent garments to restore the impregnation or re-impregnate according to the washing instructions on the garment.
