Green Tea Organic Infusion
A fresh, gently stimulating green tea for mornings, after meals and everyday tea rituals
There is a reason green tea has remained part of daily life for centuries. Made from 100% organic green tea leaves, this infusion has the characteristic fresh, vegetal taste of Camellia sinensis, with a light bitterness and clean finish.
Green tea and black tea come from the same plant, but they are processed differently. For green tea, the freshly harvested leaves are heated soon after picking to limit oxidation. This preserves the leaf's green character and gives the finished infusion its distinctive colour, aroma and flavour.
Green tea naturally contains caffeine and polyphenols, including the catechins for which the plant is particularly well known. Rather than being a caffeine-free herbal infusion, it offers a naturally more stimulating cup, making it particularly suited to the morning, daytime or after a meal.
Why choose green tea?
Choose this infusion if you are looking for a tea that is fresh rather than sweet, naturally caffeinated and easy to make part of an everyday routine.
It is particularly interesting if you:
- want an alternative to coffee during the day
- enjoy a clean, vegetal tea rather than a floral or naturally sweet infusion
- are building a more mindful routine around meals
- prefer a simple, single-plant infusion with no added flavours
- want green tea leaves rather than a concentrated green tea extract
- enjoy the ritual of preparing loose-leaf tea and adjusting the strength to your own taste
Because this is 100% green tea leaf, what you get is the plant in its traditional tea form: leaves, hot water and time.
The secret to a better cup
Green tea can become unpleasantly bitter when prepared with water that is too hot. Do not treat it like black tea.
Use water at a maximum of 80°C and adjust the infusion time according to how light or full-bodied you like your tea. Cooler water and a shorter infusion generally give a softer cup, while longer steeping produces a stronger, more pronounced green tea character.
