Natural Energy for Tired, Demanding Days

When your energy is low but the day is not over, Guarana is a simple plant-based way to add natural caffeine to your routine.

Guarana (Paullinia cupana) is an Amazonian climbing plant whose seeds are naturally rich in caffeine. This makes it particularly interesting when you want to feel more awake and alert, whether for a long working day, studying, travelling or before physical activity.

Rather than being a general “wellbeing” supplement, Guarana has a very clear purpose: it is for the times when you need extra energy and mental alertness. The capsules offer an easy alternative to coffee or energy drinks and make it simple to control when you include guarana in your day.

Because this product contains organic guarana seed powder rather than a multi-ingredient energy blend, you know exactly which botanical you are taking.

Why Choose Guarana?

  • For low-energy days when you need an extra lift
  • For work and study when staying awake and mentally alert matters
  • Before exercise or an active day when you want a caffeine-containing botanical
  • As an alternative to coffee or energy drinks
  • Made from organic guarana seeds
  • Naturally contains caffeine
  • Simple, convenient capsule format
More information

Guarana (Paullinia cupana) is a climbing plant native to the Amazon region of South America. The seeds are the part traditionally used and are particularly well known for their naturally occurring caffeine.

Naturally rich in caffeine

Each capsule provides 8 mg of naturally occurring caffeine from guarana. Caffeine is a stimulant of the central nervous system and is the main reason guarana is chosen when energy and alertness are the priority.

This makes guarana particularly relevant during periods of tiredness, demanding work or study, travel, long days and before physical activity.

Guarana and weight management

Guarana is also commonly found in supplements designed for weight-management programmes, largely because of its caffeine content. Caffeine has been extensively studied in relation to energy expenditure, thermogenesis and fat oxidation.

This is why guarana appears so frequently in slimming and metabolism formulas. However, it should be seen as part of a wider weight-management approach, alongside food choices and physical activity, rather than as a product that causes weight loss on its own.

A simple single-plant formula

These capsules contain organic guarana seed powder, making them a straightforward choice for customers who specifically want guarana rather than a complex formula containing several stimulants or botanical extracts.

The guarana is encapsulated in vegetable capsules in Brittany, France, without the additives commonly required to manufacture compressed tablets.

French production

The capsules are manufactured in France using organic plant material. According to the product information provided, they are free from additives, fillers, GMOs, pesticides and gluten, laboratory tested in France and certified organic, HACCP+ and AFNOR.

A little history

Guarana (Paullinia cupana) comes from the Amazon basin, where its seeds have been used for centuries by Indigenous peoples, particularly communities in what is now Brazil.

One of the best-known traditions comes from the Sateré-Mawé people, who have a particularly strong cultural connection with guarana and are closely associated with its early cultivation. The seeds were traditionally harvested, roasted and ground, then prepared with water to make an energising drink used during hunting, travelling and other physically demanding activities.

Guarana later became an important part of Brazilian food and drink culture and remains especially popular in Brazil today. Its reputation as an energising plant is closely connected to something we now understand chemically: guarana seeds are naturally rich in caffeine.

What began as an Amazonian plant preparation has therefore travelled far beyond its place of origin, but its modern use still reflects the reason it has been valued for generations: as a plant chosen when energy and alertness are needed.
