Uses: Food
Borage vegetable oil is exceptionally rich in polyunsaturated fatty acids and vitamins A, D, E, and K. The seeds contain 29.8 to 38.0% oil. It consists of original fatty acids and is very rich in particular in gamma-linolenic acid (vitamin F) which makes it an oil widely used in dietetics. Borage oil has been used for a long time in herbal tea.

Used in: Face and body oils, creams, lotions
Generally used as an addition in facial and body oils, at 10% and 30%.

Use it topically in a blend with other carrier oils and essential oils to combat eczema, rheumatism, stretch marks, scarring, wrinkles, and arthritis.

Precautions for use

Do not use it during pregnancy or right before or after surgery, as it thins the blood.
