A Rare Nutritional Treasure

Discover the power of nature with our premium organic acai powder – a true superfood packed with essential nutrients. Rich in iron and phosphorus, it supports energy and vitality, while its natural carbohydrates provide fuel without the excess sugar. Acai is also surprisingly high in protein for a fruit powder, making it one of the most complete and balanced superfoods available.

Supports Heart Health

Acai berries are celebrated for their high content of Omega-3 fatty acids, which help maintain normal cholesterol levels and support healthy heart function. For an even greater wellness boost, combine acai powder with psyllium husk powder or activated charcoal powder as part of your daily routine.

Easy to Enjoy Every Day

Our acai powder blends effortlessly into your lifestyle. Simply add one teaspoon (5 g) to smoothies, smoothie bowls, ice cream, or purées for a delicious boost. Its flavor combines the richness of red berries with subtle chocolate notes. For best results, avoid heating to preserve nutrients. Each resealable zip-top bag provides enough for a 10–15 day treatment.

Premium Quality, Certified Organic

Bioptimal carefully select only the finest acai berries from the Amazon in Brazil. To preserve their full nutritional value, the fruits are freeze-dried immediately after harvest. Every batch is checked in Bioptimal's family-run workshop in France to guarantee purity and safety. Certified organic, vegan, and free from additives, heavy metals, GMOs, pesticides, gluten, and animal testing – this is acai powder you can trust.

More information

What is acai?

Acai is a small, dark purple berry from the Euterpe oleracea palm tree, native to the Amazon. It is valued for its richness in antioxidants, fiber, essential fatty acids, and nutrients. Due to its many health benefits, it is classified as a "superfood."

Where does it come from and how is it harvested?

Acai berries are primarily sourced from Brazil, where they grow naturally in the wetlands of the Amazon rainforest. The berries are hand-harvested by climbing palm trees and then quickly processed (often into a puree or powder) to retain their nutritional richness, as they oxidize very quickly after harvesting.

Does acai contain caffeine?

No, acai does not contain caffeine. Unlike some natural stimulants, this berry provides energy thanks to its richness in healthy fats, natural carbohydrates, and antioxidants, without any excitatory or jittery effects. It can therefore be consumed at any time of day, even in the evening.

What does acai taste like?

Acai has a unique flavor, often described as a blend of red fruits (blueberry, blackberry) with slightly earthy and cocoa notes. Naturally low in sweetness, this berry offers a subtle, slightly bitter flavor that pairs perfectly with sweeter fruits like banana or mango. Its rich aroma makes it an ideal base for smoothies, bowls, or energizing recipes.

Can you give acai to a child?

Yes, our acai is absolutely safe for children to consume.
Rich in antioxidants, fiber, and healthy fats, it's a natural superfood that can contribute to a balanced diet. It's recommended to introduce it in small amounts at first (for example, 1/2 teaspoon of powder in a smoothie), and always check for allergies. As with any new food, a gradual introduction is recommended, especially for young children.

How to pronounce "acai"?

The most common way is to say "assaille." In Amazonia, producers pronounce it "assayi."

A little history

The açaí berry comes from the açaí palm tree (Euterpe oleracea), native to the Amazon rainforest in Brazil, Peru, and neighboring countries. For thousands of years, Indigenous peoples of the Amazon have relied on açaí as a staple food and natural medicine.

Traditional diet: In the Amazon, açaí pulp was (and still is) consumed daily, often making up more than half of the calorie intake for river communities. It was mixed with manioc flour or used as a base for porridges and drinks.

Medicinal uses: Local tribes valued açaí for its energizing effects, using it to combat fatigue, strengthen the body during illness, and support recovery. It was also believed to enhance endurance, making it a food for hunters and warriors.

Cultural significance: Açaí was considered a sacred fruit in some tribes. Legends describe it as a “fruit of life,” given by the forest to nourish the people during times of scarcity.

Açaí only gained global attention in the late 1990s and early 2000s, when researchers highlighted its antioxidant richness (especially anthocyanins, the pigments that give it its deep purple color). From there, it became a worldwide health trend, often enjoyed as smoothie bowls, juices, and powders.

Today, açaí is still harvested primarily in the Amazon region, providing an important source of income for local communities while carrying on a tradition that dates back centuries.
