Homemade Liquid Laundry Detergent

Ingredients:

50g soap flakes
1 litre hot water

Method:

Heat the water until hot but not boiling.
Add the soap flakes and stir until fully dissolved.
Allow to cool.
Transfer to a suitable bottle or container.
Shake before each use.

Dosage:

50–100ml per machine wash, depending on laundry load and water hardness.
For Delicate Hand Washing
Dissolve 1 tablespoon of soap flakes in 2 litres of warm water.
Soak garments for a few minutes.
Gently wash and rinse thoroughly.
Laundry Booster Ideas

For enhanced cleaning performance, combine with:

Sodium bicarbonate (baking soda) for odours
Sodium percarbonate for whites and stain removal
White vinegar as a natural fabric softener

Sodium Palmate* (soap from organic palm oil)
Sodium Cocoate* (soap from organic coconut oil)
Aqua (water)
Glycerin (naturally occurring from saponification)
Sodium Chloride (natural mineral salt used in soap making and to help stabilise the soap flakes)
Tetrasodium Glutamate Diacetate (biodegradable chelating agent derived from plant-based raw materials, used to improve cleaning performance in hard water)
