Usage tips

Insomnia, sleep disorders
Diffuse 5-10 drops of Chamomile in the evening for relaxation and to let off all stress before bedtime.

Acne
Clear acne by removing toxins and bacteria from sebaceous glands, and reduce any inflammation with chamomile roman essential oil. Mix 4 drops with 1 teaspoon of coconut oil, and massage into the face and neck. Leave on the skin to absorb. Repeat once a day.

Allergies
Put 3 drops on a tissue or an inhaler, and inhale regularly throughout the day. It helps to soothe irritated and inflamed nasal passageways.

Anger
Diffuse 5-10 drops of Roman chamomile, or put 10 drops in a 300 ml spray bottle filled with water. Shake well and spray over your body regularly.

Babies and children
Roman chamomile is gentle enough to be used on babies and children. Always dilute, and use a small number of drops. For a baby, mix 1-2 drops with 1 teaspoon of coconut oil. 2-3 drops for a child in 1 tablespoon (15ml) of coconut oil, and massage onto legs, arms, and the trunk of the body. This can help to induce calmness, relieve nappy rash, soothe toothaches or earaches, relieve colic, fight fevers, and alleviate aches and pains.

Constipation
Mix 4 drops with 1 teaspoon (5ml) of carrier oil, and massage into the abdomen in a clockwise direction, and lower back.

Diarrhea

HECT (Huile Essentielle ChémoTypée) and HEBBD (Huile Essentielle Botaniquement et Biochimiquement Définie) are French certifications for essential oils. Here's a brief explanation of each:

HECT (Huile Essentielle ChémoTypée)

Meaning: "Chemotyped Essential Oil"

Purpose: This certification indicates that the essential oil has been analyzed for its chemical profile and is classified based on its dominant chemical components (chemotype). This helps ensure consistency and effectiveness of the oil for therapeutic use.

Usage: It is commonly used by aromatherapists and healthcare professionals to identify and select essential oils based on their specific chemical compositions.

HEBBD (Huile Essentielle Botaniquement et Biochimiquement Définie)

Meaning: "Botanically and Biochemically Defined Essential Oil"

Purpose: This certification ensures that the essential oil is precisely identified botanically (correct plant species) and biochemically (detailed analysis of chemical constituents). It guarantees that the oil is pure, unadulterated, and of high therapeutic quality.

Usage: It is used to assure consumers and professionals that the essential oil they are using is of a verified and consistent standard, suitable for therapeutic applications.

Both certifications are important for ensuring the quality and effectiveness of essential oils, particularly in therapeutic and professional settings.

Composition

Main components:
Isobutyl, isoamyl angelate

Isobutyl angelat and isoamyl angelat are chemical compounds found in certain essential oils, including Roman chamomile.

Isobutyl angelate: This ester compound contributes to the characteristic fruity, sweet aroma of the essential oil. It has calming and soothing properties, making it beneficial in aromatherapy for promoting relaxation and reducing stress.

Isoamyl angelate: Another ester, isoamyl angelate, also contributes to the pleasant, fruity scent of the oil. Like isobutyl angelate, it enhances the oil's calming and relaxing effects.

Both of these esters are part of what gives Roman chamomile essential oil its unique and therapeutic properties, particularly its ability to soothe both the mind and skin.
