Usage tips

Jet Lag
Niaouli can effectively treat fatigue and lack of energy experienced during jet lag. Place 2 drops on a tissue and inhale regularly. Or add 10 drops to 300 ml of water in a spray bottle, and spray around the upper body throughout the day. Remember to shake well before spraying.

Protect your self
If you are working in front of a computer all day, use 4-10 drops in your diffuser at work, and you have the "workforce" of Niaouli working against radiation and the negative ions depleted by computer screens in the atmosphere.

Respiratory infection
Mix 4 drops with 1 teaspoon (5ml) of carrier oil, and massage on your chest area. Or, add 3 drops to steam inhalation, and repeat twice per day.
Niaouli oil helps to expel mucus and phlegm that has accumulated in the respiratory tract.

Fever
Diffuse 5 drops of the oil in a diffuser.
Or you can add 10 drops of Niaouli in a 300 ml spray bottle which you fill with cold water. Shake well and spray over yourself several times per day.

Colds & Flu
Antibacterial Blend
10 drops Ravensara (If not available - Bergamot)
8 drops Eucalyptus radiata (ina. - Tea Tree)
5 drops Niaouli
10 drops Ginger (ina. - Orange)
4 drops Thyme (ina. - Rosemary)
3 drops Lemongrass (ina. - Lemon)

Make up the blend of essential oils in a dark bottle, and store it in a dark cold place. Now you have a blend ready to go when you need it.

Use 4-10 drops in your diffuser,
or make a body oil:
Mix in a carrier oil (organic vegetable oil)
Use
2-5 drops of the blend in 1 teaspoon (5ml) or
4-10 drops in 2 teaspoons (10ml) or
6-15 drops in 1 tablespoon (15 ml) or
12-30 drops in 2 tablespoons (30ml)

The most effective time to apply the body oil is before going to bed. This allows the essential oils to do their work while you sleep. You can also apply the body oil before a bath, then the body absorbs the essential oils by osmosis and inhalation.

Insect repellent
Add 5 drops to a tablespoon (15 ml) with a carrier oil and apply on your skin. This is a good choice during the day because niaouli is not photosensitive.

Mature skin
Niaouli speeds up the regeneration of skin cells which help fight signs of aging. Mix 4 drops with 1 teaspoon (5ml) of carrier oil (rosehip oil), and massage into the face and neck.

Cold and Sinus Issues
Niaouli is effective for clearing congested sinuses and relieving cold symptoms. Add 3-5 drops to a bowl of hot water and perform a steam inhalation. Cover your head with a towel and inhale the steam for 5-10 minutes to open up your airways.

Muscle Pain and Stiffness
To relieve sore muscles and stiffness, mix 5-7 drops of Niaouli with 2 tablespoons (30 ml) of a carrier oil, such as almond oil or jojoba oil. Massage the mixture into the affected areas to increase circulation and reduce pain.

Acne and Blemished Skin
Niaouli oil has antiseptic properties that help treat acne and blemished skin. Mix 2-3 drops with 1 teaspoon (5 ml) of a carrier oil, such as jojoba oil, and apply directly to problem areas using a cotton swab. Use morning and evening for best results.

Cold Sores and Wound Care
Niaouli oil can be used to treat cold sores and minor cuts. Mix 1-2 drops with 1 teaspoon (5 ml) of coconut oil and gently apply to the affected area with a clean cotton swab. Repeat 2-3 times a day to speed up healing.

Respiratory Issues and Asthma
To relieve respiratory problems and asthma symptoms, mix 3 drops of Niaouli oil with 1 tablespoon (15 ml) of a carrier oil and massage onto the chest and back. Alternatively, add 3-5 drops to a diffuser to purify the air and ease breathing.

Niaouli for Urinary Tract Infections (UTIs)
Niaouli essential oil can be used as a natural remedy to help alleviate symptoms of urinary tract infections (UTIs) due to its antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties.

Sitz Bath
Mix 5-8 drops of Niaouli oil with one tablespoon (15 ml) of carrier oil, such as coconut oil or almond oil in a sitz bath (a shallow bath in which only the hips and buttocks are submerged).
Soak in the bath for 10-15 minutes, ensuring that the water reaches the pelvic area.
This can help reduce inflammation and discomfort associated with UTIs.

Topical Application
Mix 3-5 drops of Niaouli oil with 1 tablespoon (15 ml) of a carrier oil, such as coconut oil or jojoba oil.
Gently massage the mixture over the lower abdomen and pelvic area twice daily.
This helps to reduce inflammation and may support the body’s natural healing process.

Steam Inhalation
If you experience general discomfort or inflammation, steam inhalation with Niaouli oil can support the immune system.
Add 3-4 drops of Niaouli oil to a bowl of hot water and inhale the steam for 5-10 minutes.
This method supports the immune response and helps to combat the infection from within.

A little history

"THE SKIN TREE"
The Niaouli tree, affectionately known as the "Skin Tree," is a resilient evergreen native to Australia. This small but mighty tree can grow up to 25 meters in height and is renowned for its soft, papery bark that peels away effortlessly - hence the English name, "paper bark tea tree."

Niaouli essential oil is carefully extracted from the leaves and young twigs of the tree, capturing its powerful therapeutic benefits. Its versatility and resilience have made it a popular choice for reforesting swampy areas in Madagascar, where it thrives and contributes to local ecosystems.

In New Caledonia, the bark of the Niaouli tree holds a treasured place in traditional remedies. When prepared as a decoction, it offers comfort, promotes flexibility, and provides soothing relaxation - especially valued during the chilly months. Its warming and revitalizing properties make it a favorite for enhancing overall wellness.

Niaouli essential oil is cherished for its purifying, revitalizing, and skin-loving properties, making it an essential addition to any natural wellness collection.
