A little history

🗺️History of Propolis

Propolis, often called “bee glue,” is a resinous substance bees collect from tree buds and bark. They use it to seal and protect their hives against bacteria, fungi, and viruses.

Ancient Egypt: Propolis was valued for its preservative and healing properties, even used in the embalming process to prevent decay.

Greece & Rome: Physicians like Aristotle recommended propolis for wound healing, ulcers, and infections.

Traditional medicine: Across Europe and Asia, propolis was long used as a natural antiseptic, soothing sore throats and supporting the immune system.

Modern research has confirmed many of these uses, highlighting its antimicrobial, antioxidant, and anti-inflammatory properties.

🗺️History of Echinacea

Echinacea is a flowering plant native to North America, traditionally used by Indigenous peoples for its healing properties.

Native American traditions: Tribes such as the Sioux, Cheyenne, and Comanche used echinacea root to treat snake bites, infections, wounds, and to support the body during colds and fevers.

19th century Europe: Echinacea was brought to Europe by settlers and quickly became popular in herbal medicine as a “blood purifier” and immune-strengthening remedy.

Modern use: Today, echinacea is one of the most researched medicinal plants for immune health, often recommended for supporting the body against seasonal illnesses.
