Deep Calm • Sleep Support • Hormonal Harmony

Hops is far more than a brewing plant. For centuries, this bitter, aromatic flower has been used as one of nature’s most reliable allies for calming the nervous system, supporting sleep, and harmonising hormonal rhythms.

Our organic hops infusion is made from carefully dried female hop cones, traditionally valued for their soothing, sedative and nervine qualities.

Why You’ll Love Hops Tea

Natural Sleep Support

Hops has long been used to encourage deep, restorative sleep. Traditionally, hop cones were even placed in pillows to promote relaxation and ease nighttime restlessness. As an infusion, hops helps the body shift gently into a state of calm, making it especially suitable for evening use.

Nervous System Calming

Hops supports the brain’s natural calming pathways by enhancing GABA activity - the neurotransmitter associated with relaxation and mental quiet. This helps reduce nervous tension, racing thoughts, and stress-induced wakefulness.

Supports Circadian Rhythm

Hops influences melatonin and serotonin balance, key messengers involved in regulating the sleep–wake cycle. This makes hops tea particularly helpful when sleep is disrupted by stress, irregular rhythms, or inner restlessness.

Hormonal Balance & Menopausal Support

Hops is one of the richest known sources of plant-based phytoestrogens, traditionally used to support women during hormonal transitions. It has been especially valued for menopausal sleep disturbances linked to hormonal imbalance.

Bitter Tonic for the Whole Body

As a classic bitter herb, hops also supports digestive balance and blood sugar stability - factors that can indirectly influence nighttime awakenings and sleep quality.

Taste & Character

Hops tea has a distinctly bitter, earthy flavour, reflecting its powerful constituents. Some love its grounding intensity; others prefer it blended with gentler herbs. The bitterness is part of what gives hops its therapeutic depth.

Usage tips

Use 1–2g of dried hops per cup of hot water.

For a larger teapot (around 800 ml), use the same total daily amount of 1–2 g of hops. A larger water volume creates a milder, more balanced infusion.
Hops is traditionally used in small quantities. Increasing the amount is not necessary and may result in excessive bitterness.

Cover and steep for 10–15 minutes.
Best enjoyed in the evening, 30–60 minutes before bedtime.
