Olea europaea

Olive No. 23 is the Bach flower remedy traditionally associated with deep mental and physical exhaustion, particularly when you feel completely depleted after a prolonged period of effort, stress, overwork or recovery.

It is suited to those moments when tiredness goes beyond simply needing a good night's sleep. You may feel as though your reserves have been used up, everyday tasks require too much effort, and there is little enthusiasm left for doing anything.

Within Dr. Edward Bach's system, Olive belongs to the emotional group Lack of Interest in Present Circumstances.

The positive potential of Olive is renewed inner strength. It is traditionally used to support the transition from depletion towards a greater sense of vitality, regeneration, balance and serenity.

Benefits

  • Traditionally associated with deep mental and physical exhaustion
  • For periods when you feel completely drained after prolonged effort
  • Supports the emotional transition from depletion towards renewed vitality
  • Encourages a sense of regeneration and replenishment
  • Associated with restored inner strength and energy
  • Supports a return to emotional balance and serenity
  • Prepared according to Dr. Bach's original method

When might Olive be a good choice?

Consider Olive when the dominant feeling is:

"I have nothing left to give. I am completely exhausted."

This may follow a particularly demanding period of work, prolonged responsibilities, emotional strain, intensive study or another situation that has required sustained effort.

Olive is therefore different from remedies associated primarily with lack of motivation or uncertainty. The Olive state is characterised by genuine depletion after having already expended considerable energy.

At Herbiolys, quality begins in nature and is preserved at every stage of production.

Carefully Selected, Fully Traceable Herbs
All plants are harvested by accredited producer-pickers, ensuring complete traceability from the field to the finished product. This direct relationship with the harvesters guarantees transparency, integrity, and respect for the plant.

Organic Plants from Protected Natural Areas
The organic herbs are primarily sourced from preserved natural environments, far from pollution and environmental contamination. For protected or rarer species, certified organic cultivation is used to safeguard biodiversity.

Ethical and Responsible Harvesting
Harvesting is carried out in accordance with the SIMPLES Syndicate Charter and organic farming standards. Great care is taken to protect plant populations and maintain ecological balance at each harvesting site. Respect for nature is not an option - it is a principle.

Immediate On-Site Maceration
To preserve the full vitality of the plant, maceration takes place immediately at the harvest location. This prevents oxidation and enzyme degradation while protecting chlorophyll and the plant’s naturally occurring active compounds. The result is a vibrant extract that reflects both the essence of the plant and the energy of its natural habitat.

Glass Storage from Start to Finish
All macerations are prepared and stored exclusively in glass demijohns and bottles from harvest through to the finished product. This ensures purity and stability without unwanted interactions.

Hand-Dynamized Extracts
During the final packaging stage, each extract is dynamized by hand. This traditional process enhances dispersion and assimilation of the plant’s active compounds while supporting the energetic quality of the preparation.

A Rigorous, Artisan Protocol
From harvesting to labeling, every step is carried out with precision and care. This strict production protocol ensures exceptional quality, purity, and effectiveness in every bottle.

A little history

The olive tree, Olea europaea, has accompanied Mediterranean civilisation for thousands of years and has long symbolised peace, endurance, wisdom and renewal.

Its remarkable longevity makes it particularly meaningful within Bach's flower system. Olive trees can survive difficult growing conditions and continue producing new growth over extraordinarily long periods.

Dr. Edward Bach selected Olive as one of his 38 flower remedies and associated it with the state of profound exhaustion that can follow sustained mental or physical effort. In Bach's system, its positive potential represents the return of strength, vitality and inner equilibrium.

The remedy is prepared from olive flowers using Bach's sun method, in which freshly collected flowers are infused in spring water in sunlight. This particular preparation is made in France at the harvesting site according to the original Bach method.

Packaging & storage

Presented in an amber glass bottle with a dropper cap, designed to protect the extract from light and maintain its full integrity and potency.

Store in a cool, dry place, away from heat and direct sunlight. Close the bottle tightly after each use.
