Lavandin Super essential oil is steam-distilled from the flowering tops of Lavandula hybrida, a natural hybrid of True Lavender and Spike Lavender. This unique cross brings out the best of both worlds - offering a fresh, herbaceous aroma that's slightly more intense than traditional lavender, with a subtly camphorous twist.

Lavandin Super is part of a carefully cultivated family of lavender hybrids. While Lavandin Grosso is the most widely grown, Lavandin Super is cherished for its balanced composition and beautifully soothing scent - perfect for creating a calm and harmonious atmosphere at home.

A wonderful, affordable option for everyday use, whether you're blending for relaxation, adding to your diffuser, or incorporating into natural home care routines.

A little history

The History of Lavandin Super Essential Oil
Lavandin (Lavandula hybrida) is not a wild plant, but a natural hybrid of two lavender species:

True Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia), known for its calming, sweet floral aroma
Spike Lavender (Lavandula latifolia), which has a sharper, camphorous scent and grows at lower altitudes
Lavandin was first noticed in the late 19th to early 20th century in southern France, where both parent species naturally coexisted. Farmers began to cultivate these hybrid plants because they produced larger yields of essential oil and were easier to grow at lower altitudes than True Lavender.

Over time, specific varieties of Lavandin were developed through cuttings (not seeds) to preserve consistent qualities. One of the most popular and well-balanced varieties is Lavandin Super, known for its fresh, floral scent with just a hint of camphor.

It became widely used in aromatherapy, natural cleaning, personal care, and perfumery - not only because it's more affordable than True Lavender, but also because it has stronger cleansing and stimulating effects, making it incredibly versatile.
