A little history

Originally from India, the lemon tree grows in southern Europe, especially in Spain and Portugal. It is a small tree with evergreen oval leaves and fragrant flowers, which bears fruit all year round. Its country of origin is ancient Media, between Tigris and Caspian, which is why the lemon was called the "media apple" during the cruises. It was embarked by Arab navigators two centuries before crossing the Atlantic on the caravels of Christopher Columbus.
